| Hello dear
friends and loyal Broken Spoke fans. I'm sure
that most of you are aware of my current
struggle with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. (ghee-YAN
bah-RAY) To put it in a nutshell, it's an
auto-immune condition in which the body attacks
it's own nervous system. Enough about that, I've
put it and the 6 weeks in 3 hospitals behind me.
As a direct result of your love, thoughts,
prayers and kindness, I am currently on the
uphill road to recovery. Thanks to the countless
specialists, doctors, nurses, aides and
therapists that helped me get back on my feet.
(Man, there was a bunch of them). May GOD bless
you all! You can't possibly realize how much
I've missed performing for you these past few
months. I have recently returned to the stage
(forgive the wheelchair) and am thoroughly
enjoying the Welcome Back atmosphere at the
shows. Not only from the folks in the crowd but
from my brothers and sisters that I so humbly
share the stage with. I am truly blessed to be
surrounded by such great people. I thank GOD
each day for my extended support group and for
the will to survive any task that He sees fit to
give me. There's truth in the saying "What
doesn't kill you serves to make you stronger".
Looks like I'll be one strong individual very
soon. Please accept my heartfelt thanks &
appreciation and know that I am working hard to
be better than I was. The Show Will Go On!
